Step 4: Plan

  • Who are you going to help save money or make extra money?
  • How are you going to help them?
  • Who is out there who you would love to work with as a partner or freelancer?
  • Connect your vision (lesson 6 of 2020 Ready Accelerator Microdegree)
  • Describe the key insights about your business and customer that wll drive your promotion plan over the next week.

Step 5: Problem

  • List your ideal customer's attributes.
  • List some of the new problems you know your customer is facing today.
  • Create the bold promise you're going to make to your customers.
  • List some new products or ideas that will help them solve their new problem.
  • List the digital price points you're considering.
  • Call up your ideal client and find out what their biggest problem is today. Use this as the basis for creating your avatar.
  • Download Michelle Clarke's presentation slides. Study the examples and create your promotion plan using the 5Ps.

Step 6: Trust

  • What is the price of your product?
  • Based on your sales target and the price of your product, how many people do you need to speak to in order to reach your target?
  • Where will you start your customers journey and how will you build on their trust along the way?
  • What is the feeling you want them to be left with at each step of their journey?

  • Map your customer pathway by replicating the steps in the slide

  • What is the biggest problem you could solve right now that could be solved with software?
  • What is the first task you would like to outsource?
  • Using the 1-2-3 formula, who do you need in your team?
  • ASSIGNMENT: Consider your customer pathway and put together your startup toolkit for your why, what, who, when, and how.
