Shiny Detector Checklist

  • Screenshots of Profit

Does the sale page show screenshots of profit which do not appear to be backed up with any real reason or purpose other than to hype up the product?

  • Selling a Lifestyle or Dream, Instead of a Service or Tool*

Does the sales page use a lot of emotional triggers to make you excited about the possibility of the product? Words like:

    • quit your job
    • leave your 9-5
    • spend time with your family while making passive income
    • be happy and get out of your miserable existence
    • imaging being able to live life on your own terms

*NOTE - there are plenty of honest products which use the "emotional" sales angle. Nothing wrong with that in itself but combine it with the other items and it is a warning sign.

  • Fake countdown Timers That Refresh*

Does the page have a countdown time which resets when you refresh the sale page?

*NOTE - depending on the page builder the vendor is using they may not have the ability to use a better countdown timer so take this with a pinch of salt but be aware of it so you do not feel pressured to buy.

  • Promises of “Guaranteed” Rewards....

...such as “passive/autopilot traffic/sales/followers/leads”. Check the wording very carefully. Do they imply their service guarantees results?

No legitimate service will ever guarantee any results of any kind.

  • Unrealistic Claims of Origin

Does the product or service claim to be "first of it's kind" or "never seen before method"? Think about that claim and use your common sense.

  • Luxury Items

Is the vendor using any luxury items to distract you, such as, cars, women, Rolex watches or expensive hotels?

  • Check Testimonials on Previous Products (use Muncheye/Google)

Go to Google and search for previous products by the vendor. Search for terms like:

    • [vendor name] muncheye
    • [vendor name] products

And you will find previous listing of the vendor. Are they using the same testimonials from previous products with the exact same wording?

  • Check Proof Screenshots on Previous Products (use Muncheye/Google)

Go to Google and search for previous products by the vendor. Search for terms like:

    • [vendor name] muncheye
    • [vendor name] products

Check their proof of income or whatever results they claim to have gotten, are they the same for every product even though the products are different?

  • Check Product Launch History to See If They Are a Serial Launcher

Go to Google and search for previous products by the vendor. Search for terms like:

    • [vendor name] muncheye
    • [vendor name] products

Does the vendor launch a fresh product every single month or every second month? If so, do you think they will provide good support and maintain their previous products? Remember, this change pretty quick in this business.

  • Check legal Pages For Discrepancies

Scroll down to the bottom of the sales page and check the legal pages, such as the Privacy Policy and the Income Disclaimers. Some vendors are so lazy that they are dead links or the text inside refer to an older launch and NOT the product you are looking at.

Common Sense Factors

  • Have You Dealt With Vendor Before?

If you have purchased from this vendor before and did not like the product, DON'T buy from them again!

  • Check Google & YouTube for Reviews

Search in Google & YouTube for product review but do NOT look at the people who promote it. Look for the reviews that speak against the product and listen to what they say.

See if there are any valid points and opinions.

  • Never Buy "One Time Fee" Platforms

There are 4 types of services you should never, ever, ever, ever pay a "one time fee" for. These include:

    • Hosting Providers
    • Email Autoresponders
    • Video Hosting
    • Webinar Software

This is because these tools require a LOT of upkeep and bandwidth and ALL one time solutions are cheap for a reason. They are unreliable and will damage your growth as a marketer.

  • Don't Justify The Price

It is very common for people to think "Yeah, but it's only $19.99".

Exactly! It's cheap for a reason. Don't think of the price, think of the time and energy you will waste and also consider the possibility of you being sucked into buying an upgrade as well.

  • Take Sales Pages With A Pinch Of Salt

Sales pages are there to sell. To hype up the product. Take it with a pinch of salt and think about what you are buying.
